UN Sustainable Development Goals
KijijiCoder's contribution to global development goals
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. KijijiCoder aligns with and contributes to multiple SDGs by bridging the digital divide and empowering rural communities with tech skills.

How KijijiCoder Contributes:
We directly address the digital divide, ensuring rural communities have access to the same tech knowledge and opportunities as urban areas.
Partnerships for the Goals
Strengthen means of implementation and revitalize partnerships
How KijijiCoder Contributes:
We work with telcos, corporates, NGOs, governments, and communities to scale impact and create sustainable solutions for tech education.
Impact & Potential
Scaling tech awareness across Africa
Scalability Model
The USSD learning model is inherently scalable. Once developed, the curriculum can be replicated across different regions with minimal adaptation. Key scalability factors:
- •Telco Partnerships: Working with mobile network operators to integrate USSD learning into their services
- •Content Localization: Adapting curriculum for different languages, contexts, and regions
- •Replicable Technology: The USSD platform can be deployed in any country with mobile network coverage
- •Low Infrastructure Requirements: No need for internet, smartphones, or physical classrooms
Rural Kenya
Current focus: 3 counties, expanding to 10+
East Africa
Next phase: Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda
Africa
Long-term vision: Continental scale
Data-Driven Impact
We track and measure our impact through:
- •Number of learners reached and active engagement rates
- •Learning outcomes and skill acquisition metrics
- •Employment and economic opportunity outcomes
- •Community feedback and program effectiveness
Impact reports and detailed metrics available to partners and stakeholders.
